Koh Kood is one of the most popular beaches in Thailand, with a wide range of restaurants and bars. The beaches are known for their crystal clear waters, which makes them perfect for snorkeling. If you’re looking for something more active than lounging around on the beach all day long, head to one of these activities.
Ao Salat
Its a beautiful beach with white sand, clear water and crystal clear waters. It’s the perfect place to go swimming, relax or snorkel. You can even catch some rays here if that’s your thing! It is located on Koh Kood Island in the Maldives, it’s located about 1 hour away by speedboat from Male Airport (which I highly recommend).
Ao Tapao
Its a small beach on the southern end of Koh Kood and it has a beautiful view of the sunset, but it’s also good for watching the sunrise.
Ao Yai
Its a small bay with a small beach, which is great for snorkeling and swimming. There are also some trees on the beach that provide shade for when you want to relax.
Klong Chao Beach
Klong Chao Beach is a secluded beach on the west coast of Koh Kood. The beach is visited by few tourists but its seclusion makes it worth exploring. It’s surrounded by rocks and cliffs, making it an ideal location for rock climbing or snorkeling.
The shoreline can be rocky at times, making swimming in this area unsafe for beginners or those unfamiliar with the water’s depths. However, if you’re an experienced diver who knows how to handle your equipment safely then you’ll find this spot perfect for diving—just be sure that others aren’t around when you go exploring!
Khlong Hin Beach
Khlong Hin Beach is located in the Khlong Hin district, which is about 20 kilometres from Bangkok. The beach is 1 kilometre long and has a sandy white sand. It’s a popular tourist destination for both locals and visitors alike, with many resorts located along its shores. It also has a shallow lagoon that connects to another small island called Koh Hin (or “Small Island”).
Ao Noi Beach
Ao Noi Beach is located on the west coast of Koh Kood, just south of Ao Nang and close to Chaweng. This quiet beach has white sand and clear water that makes it ideal for swimming and snorkeling. You can also enjoy some time relaxing in your own hammock or taking a walk along the shoreline.
The beach is one kilometer long from north to south, but it’s only about 300 meters wide at its widest point because there are several rocks sticking out into the water here too! That makes for some great places for walking along this stretch—if you’re brave enough!
Need reasons to go to Koh Kood Beaches ?
Beaches are great for relaxing, for swimming and for snorkeling. Beaches are also excellent places to sunbathe, or just lie around soaking up the rays while you read a book or watch the waves crash on shore—whatever floats your boat!
